As Clinical Director for the PCN I am responsible for supporting the six surgeries and other resources within Purbeck to help them in managing and meeting the needs of our patients. This means taking the lead with our strategic goals and projects and taking accountability for ensuring the PCN contract with NHS England (called the DES) is met. I make sure that funding is allocated appropriately and is used to meet the needs of the people of Purbeck and that all Purbeck GP practices have appropriate access to services and are continuously working to improve patient experience.

As the link between the Purbeck GP Practices, NHS Dorset, Dorset Health Care providers and all the other PCNs in Dorset, we represent the needs of patients in Purbeck. Using the services and support we can access, I have been able to promote Integrated Neighbourhood Team working, where the patient is at the centre of our service design.
